Associate of Arts, concentration in Kinesiology

Return to: Degree Plans - By Degree Type The Associate of Arts, concentration in Kinesiology will provide students with the course work necessary to transfer to a four-year institution to major in kinesiology or exercise science. This program will provide students with fundamental skills and knowledge needed to teach physical education in the school system or community, or to direct fitness and wellness programs in commercial and corporate settings.

Communication (10) Core - 2 courses (6 credit hours)
Life and Physical Sciences (30) Core - 2 courses (8 credit hours)
Select 2 courses from the Life and Physical Sciences (30) Core
Recommend: BIOL 2401 and BIOL 2402
or
BIOL 1406 and BIOL 1407 Social and Behavioral Sciences (80) Core - 1 course (3 credit hours)
Select 1 course from the Social and Behavioral Sciences (80) Core
Recommend: *SOCI 1301 - Introductory Sociology

**PSYC 2301 - General Psychology Additional Requirements (16 credit hours)
