GOVT 2376 - Introduction to Comparative Politics An introduction to the study of political development, political processes, and political institutions in several European and non-European settings. Emphasis is on the similarities and differences between and among industrial and less industrial countries, including the roots of dictatorship and democracy and sources of political stability or instability in different parts of the world. Includes study of the social and economic forces that shape the political process.
