Mission Statement
Northeast Lakeview College is a public community college within the system of Alamo Colleges District, established in partnership with its communities, that is focused on student success through the offering of Associate degrees and continuing education, promoting engagement in civic activities and organizations, and encouraging participation in cultural and enrichment programs.
Northeast Lakeview Core Objectives - General Education Competencies

Upon completing the Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree program requirements at Northeast Lakeview College, students will demonstrate:
- Evaluate, assess and explain security risk and network threats for computer systems or an organization.
- Recommend security policies to mitigate security vulnerabilities and inefficiencies.
- Design, implement and manage secure network systems.
- Use system tools, practices, and relevant technologies to implement a network security use plan.
- As a member of a design team, design an efficient secure network to maintain network productivity.
Upon completing the Information Technology Network Administrator Associate of Applied Science Degree program requirements at Northeast Lakeview College, students will demonstrate:
- Ability to setup, configure, troubleshoot, secure and maintain networking devices to include hardware and operating system software
- Design and manage network systems to include installation, configuration, securing and troubleshooting network devices, protocols and services.
- Understand the skills required to gain and maintain an entry-level or higher employment in the IT industry.
- Apply network concepts to an enterprise network, evaluate and rectify common network issues.
